Tikki and Chang on Stage

STORY SALAD presents a new multicultural mini–musical created just for young readers and audiences all across the country!  Our one–hour revue based on popular books and stories takes you around the world with Tikki Tikki Tembo, Amelia Bedelia, Anansi and other characters kids know and love.  And our talented authors, Albert Evans & Ron Kaehler, have added some special original creations of their own.

Travel with us to China (Tikki Tikki Tembo), India (One Grain of Rice), West Africa and the Caribbean (Anansi and the Rainstick), Mexico (Lord of the Yucatan adapted from an Aesop fable) and Brazil (Song of the Claves — our samba sing–along!).

And our show isn't just multicultural; it's multi–musical — because musical instruments are featured in every story!  As a matter of fact, that wacky Amelia Bedelia plays nearly every instrument in the orchestra!!

So pack your bags and call now to book your reservations for an excursion that kids won't soon forget!  It's a journey that will have them laughing, singing, applauding, and, best of all — reading!
